Nov.11 2016, the annual Chinese Cyber Sales day again refreshed the record for highest sales value within the span of one day. Alibaba alone hit 120 Billion RMB which drove up the total Cyber Sales value to over 180 billion RMB, additional trades were also made with smaller online and offline distributors.
EP actively participated before and during the day of the event as equipment manufacturer and Ecommerce company. During the three months ahead of the sales day, major logistic companies in China began placing massive orders of high-efficiency material handling equipments to best prepare themselves for the huge demand for parcel deliveries. For example, for one particular model the orders EP received in the two months leading up to the event was equivalent to the total orders made in last year. Factories ran extra shifts every day to ensure the fast deliveries possible. During the day of 11.11, EP’s Ecommerce entity IMOW sold 1,335 units truck in China through its on-line campaign, which sets a new record for the Chinese forklift industry. This was a testimony and a perfect one year milestone for IMOW, which went live during the 11.11 Cyber Sales last year.
