During the last week, EP Equipment presented innovative trends and products at CeMAT in Hannover. On over 300m2 EP unveiled LiST – Lithium integrated Smart trucks and pushed the limits of past developments even further. While others just replace Lead- acid with Lithium Batteries, EP builds new trucks purpose build from the ground up.

The groundbreaking L2 counterbalance truck
Since the introduction of AC technology to the forklift industry around 15 years ago, counterbalance trucks have not changed a lot. The bulky, heavy batteries lead to small cabin space, and long charging hours. EP Equipment went back to the drawing board and made full usage of Lithium technology. By designing a new chassis from the ground up EP managed to increase cabin size and legroom by 35% compared to the industry standard, while improved visibility to the front and rear by removing all unnecessary obstacles. The L2 is equipped with a 460Ah Lithium Ion battery developed and produced by EP Equipment. The battery can be opportunity charged and needs 2 hours to be filled up to 100%. Due to the new chassis design, EP was able to reduce the weight of the truck by 20% leading to a lower energy consumption and long net working time of one shift without charging. If needed, the battery can easily be exchanged to ensure maximum performance in heavy duty, 3 shift application.
JX1 and JX0 order picker – the ultimate picking mashines
At CeMAT 2018 EP Equipment presented their all new JX0 work assist vehicle. Build around the Lithium Ion Battery and equipped with a innovative drive concept and optimised stability, the JX0 is ready to meet its competitors in the field. Ourself and the worldwide EP partners are looking forward to bring the newest member of the EP family to our customers.
Every forklift manufacturer has order picker trucks and VNA trucks in their portfolio, many even have work assist vehicles, but not a single supplier can compete with the JX1 from EP Equipment. The JX1 is a unique order picker with a plattform height of up to 4880mm and a capacity of 500Kg. The truck was designed for the tough working conditions in a modern, order picking environment. At CeMAT 2018 EP Equipment demoed the JX1 to the visitors – their reaction: “Why did no one else think about this before? – This solves my problem”.
Especially in larger spare parts centre and e-commerce warehouses, the JX1 plays out its strength due to its high performance and compact size. At CeMAT 2018 EP Equipment signed several orders and demos for this unique mashine.
