EP After Sales Workshop: Two Days of Technical Training for Our Italian Dealer Network

On 29–30 September 2026, more than 70 technicians from EP Equipment’s Italian dealer network gathered at Il Carrello Srl in Nerviano for the EP After Sales Workshop. The two-day training covered truck systems, diagnostic tools and technologies that are creating new opportunities for after-sales support.

Technical Expertise That Supports Customers

For customers who rely on their trucks every day, skilled service support is an essential part of the equipment’s value. Identifying the cause of a fault, interpreting the available data and deciding how to proceed all require up-to-date knowledge of the truck and its components.

With this in mind, the workshop brought together technicians from across Italy and specialists from EP Equipment Europe. Allan Harvey, Thomas Freitag, Alexander Krich and Riccardo Martino led the sessions alongside the Italian team, combining technical presentations, practical activities and opportunities for questions.

Direct exchange between the dealer network and the manufacturer helps connect training with the service challenges technicians face in the field. This is central to EP’s support for its dealers: providing knowledge and tools that technicians can apply in their day-to-day work with customers.

Diagnostics and Digital Support in Everyday Service

Troubleshooting was a key focus throughout the workshop. Sessions explored the diagnostic process and the tools available to help technicians investigate faults and determine the next steps.

EP Care, Quick Solution and AI Agent featured in the digital support sessions, alongside telematics and remote service capabilities. These resources complement technicians’ expertise by providing information and guidance to support their assessment of a problem.

For dealers, understanding these tools is the first step towards integrating them into their service operations. For customers, the aim is a more efficient process from the initial fault report through to resolution, helping to limit equipment downtime.

Building Expertise in Lithium Batteries and High Voltage

Lithium batteries were another major part of the training, with sessions covering diagnostics and practical battery work. The agenda also included a dedicated session on viewing individual battery cell readings, linking the interpretation of data with a better understanding of battery operation.

The workshop also addressed Santroll controllers and introduced High Voltage technology, drawing attention to systems that require specific knowledge and procedures.

As electric trucks continue to evolve, technical skills need to keep pace. A structured training setting gives the dealer network an opportunity to explore these technologies with EP specialists and ask questions about their servicing requirements.

Product Knowledge and a Stronger Dealer Network

The workshop included product updates covering EFL PRO, TVL, WSA, RSL PRO, DS3 and ESA121. A deeper understanding of these models helps technicians build their knowledge of the range and prepare for maintenance and diagnostic work.

Across the two days, the training brought together three closely connected aspects of after-sales service: product knowledge, an understanding of key components and the effective use of support tools.

We thank Il Carrello Srl for hosting the workshop and supporting its organisation, and all the technicians who took part. Training remains an integral part of EP Equipment’s work with its dealers: ensuring that advances in the product range are supported by the skills needed to service it, while maintaining direct contact between the teams developing the solutions and the technicians supporting customers in the field.
