Andrea, who are you? Where are you from and what have you done so far in life?
Andrea chi sei? Da dove vieni e cosa hai fatto finora nella vita?
My name is Andrea Furielli, I’m 47 years old, born and grow in Siena, a small town in Tuscany, Italy. In 1999 after my study in Economic I start working for an Italian producer of material handling equipment. In the first years I had the possibility to work in the US branch doing operation and, back in Italy I cover export sales and product management.
Mi chiamo Andrea Furielli, ho 47 anni, sono nato e cresciuto a Siena, un piccolo paese della Toscana, in Italia. Nel 1999 dopo gli studi in Economia, ho iniziato a lavorare per un produttore italiano di macchine per la movimentazione dei materiali. Nei primi anni ho avuto la possibilità di lavorare nella filiale statunitense facendo operazioni e, una volta tornato in Italia, mi sono ocuupato delle vendite export e del product management.
What has been your main motivation to join EP?
Qual è stata la tua motivazione principale per unirti a EP?
The combination of two factors: People and Products. During my previous activity I had the possibility to know EP as a competitor and as a supplier and this gave me the opportunity to know fantastic product and meet great people, so I said….I want to be part of it!
La combinazione di due fattori: Persone e Prodotti. Durante la mia precedente attività ho avuto la possibilità di conoscere EP come concorrente e come fornitore e questo mi ha dato l’opportunità di conoscere prodotti fantastici e incontrare persone fantastiche, quindi mi sono detto… voglio farne parte!
Which product do you find most interesting and what do you want other people to know about this product?
Quale prodotto trovi più interessante e cosa vuoi che le altre persone sappiano di questo prodotto?
Having a higher knowledge of the class 3 I have a critical eye on such product range so I consider the F series electric pallet truck range the most interesting models that allow to increase safety and efficiency reducing operator effort on the daily activity with a selling price that is closer to a manual palletruck vs a traditional electric one.
Avendo una maggiore conoscenza della classe 3 ho un occhio critico su tale gamma di prodotti quindi considero la gamma di transpallet elettrici della serie F i modelli più interessanti che consentono di aumentare la sicurezza e l’efficienza riducendo lo sforzo dell’operatore nell’attività quotidiana con un prezzo di vendita che è più vicino a un transpallet manuale rispetto a uno elettrico tradizionale.
How do you think EP Equipment compares to other equipment in the material handling market?
Come pensi che EP Equipment si confronti con altre attrezzature nel mercato della movimentazione dei materiali?
I consider EP as the innovator of the MHE market. Doing product management I have the possibility to do product comparison were EP was one of the benchmark. Since the launch of EPT20-15ET and especially the EPT12-EZ, EP starts to makes product that were difficult to allocate in the benchmark, innovative products that were developed on end user needs.
Considero EP l’innovatore del mercato MHE. Facendo la gestione del prodotto ho la possibilità di fare confronti tra prodotti dove EP era uno dei punti di riferimento. Dal lancio dell’EPT20-15ET e in particolare dell’EPT12-EZ, EP inizia a realizzare prodotti che erano difficili da allocare nel benchmark, prodotti innovativi sviluppati sulle esigenze dell’utente finale.
What hobbies do you have and how do you spend your weekends?
Che hobby hai e come trascorri i fine settimana?
I consider myself lucky, because I was born and grow up in a wonderful city surrounded by landscape famous worldwide for it’s beauty and the quality of the wine (Chianti region). For this reason I enjoy the outdoor activity as trekking and cycling. I like motorbikes as well and I have two, but, since I become father, not too much time for hobbies and a lot of time for the family!!
Mi considero fortunato, perché sono nato e cresciuto in una città meravigliosa circondata da un paesaggio famoso in tutto il mondo per la sua bellezza e la qualità del vino (regione del Chianti). Per questo mi piacciono le attività all’aria aperta come il trekking e il ciclismo. Mi piacciono anche le moto e ne ho due, ma, da quando sono diventato padre, poco tempo per gli hobby e tanto tempo per la famiglia!!
What is your biggest wish for your first year at EP?
Qual è il tuo più grande desiderio per il tuo primo anno all’EP?
First step is to understand the company, the colleagues and go deeply on the product lineup on order to support the European sales organization grow together!
