Dealer Implementation Training | Cologne Headquarters

Strengthening the EP Dealer Network

EP Equipment’s X-Mover division recently hosted a two-day Implementation Training Workshop for 22 European dealers and system integrators, focused on improving expertise in warehouse automation deployment, XP15 implementation, and aftersales support.

The training helps partners become more self-sufficient in project implementation, ensuring smoother installations, higher safety standards, and better long-term service for customers using X-Mover solutions.

Training Dealers for Successful Implementations

The workshop focused on strengthening dealer capabilities across the entire automation project lifecycle, from planning and installation to maintenance and support.

Key objectives included:

  • Improving dealer implementation skills
  • Strengthening knowledge of XP15 deployment processes
  • Promoting site safety and risk assessment
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing across the dealer network

This structured type of training supports our partners in delivering projects independently.

Covering the Full Implementation Process

Participants were guided through the three key stages of an automation project.

Pre-Implementation, Planning and Site Preparation

Before deployment, dealers learned how to conduct:

  • Site evaluation and feasibility checks
  • Risk identification and site readiness assessments
  • Stakeholder coordination
  • Machine pre-delivery inspections

Implementation and Aftersales: Scalable Automation

Successful automation projects go beyond implementation. During the training, the group focused on best practices for both system implementation and long-term aftersales support.

The installation sessions covered AMR installation best practices, the importance of structured implementation processes, and handling special use cases, as well as post-installation site risk assessments and project sign-off to ensure safe and compliant system deployment.

Dealers also strengthened their aftersales service capabilities, including maintenance planning, troubleshooting methods, and the use of digital tools such as EP Care. These skills help improve system uptime, service response, and overall customer satisfaction in automated warehouse operations.

Hands-On with X-Mover AGVs

A highlight of the program was the hands-on training with X-Mover added functionalities.

Participants worked directly with our experts learning advanced features such as:

  • Call Box integration
  • Machine-to-Machine communication
  • Remote Keypad functionality
  • Nano-server, system diagnostics and troubleshooting

The practical sessions allowed dealers to apply their knowledge in real implementation scenarios.

Strengthening the EP Dealer Network

The training also encouraged open discussions and experience sharing between dealers. By exchanging best practices and real project insights, participants strengthened collaboration within the EP partner network.

Through trainings like this, EP continues to invest in dealer expertise, implementation quality, and customer satisfaction in automation projects across Europe.
