EP Equipment’s X-MOVER team recently hosted a two-day Implementation Training at our headquarters in Cologne, welcoming a dedicated group of German automation dealers and end users alike.
The training was designed to strengthen practical implementation skills, deepen product understanding, and enable partners to deliver automation projects more independently and efficiently.

Focus on Real Implementation Scenarios
The highlight of the training was the collaborative work on real customer use cases.
Rather than focusing purely on theory, participants worked through actual application scenarios together— analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and combining different X-MOVER functionalities into complete system setups.
This hands-on approach ensured that dealers not only understand individual features, but also how to apply them in real-world environments.
- Improving dealer implementation skills
- Strengthening knowledge of XP15 deployment processes
- Promoting site safety and risk assessment
- Encouraging knowledge sharing across the dealer network

Covering the Full Project Lifecycle
Pre-Implementation & Planning
Dealers learned how to prepare for successful deployments, including:
- Site evaluation and feasibility checks
- Risk assessment and site readiness
- Stakeholder coordination
- Machine pre-delivery inspection
Implementation & System Setup
During the practical sessions, the focus was on:
- Best practices for AGV installation
- Combining functionalities into scalable solutions
- Handling specific customer requirements and cases
- Performing post-installation risk assessments and project sign-off

Deep Dive into X-MOVER Functionalities
Participants gained hands-on experience with key system features, including:
- Call Box integration
- Remote Keypad
- Traffic Control
- Auto Pick-Up and Auto Drop-Off
- Core setup of EXP and XPMM

Working directly with these tools in real scenarios helped translate technical knowledge into practical implementation skills.
Implementation and Aftersales: Scalable Automation
Successful automation projects go beyond implementation. During the training, the group focused on best practices for both system implementation and long-term aftersales support.
The installation sessions covered AGV implementation best practices, the importance of structured implementation processes, and handling special use cases, as well as post-installation site risk assessments and project sign-off to ensure safe and compliant system deployment.
Dealers also strengthened their aftersales service capabilities, including maintenance planning, troubleshooting methods, and the use of digital tools such as EP Care AI as a service. These skills help improve system uptime, service response, and overall customer satisfaction in our automated warehouse operations.

Strengthening the EP Dealer Network
The training encouraged open discussions and experience sharing between dealers. By exchanging best practices and real project insights, participants strengthened collaboration within the EP partner network.
Through trainings like this, EP continues to invest in dealer expertise, implementation quality, and customer satisfaction in automation projects across Europe.
