1. Camila, who are you? Where are you from, and what have you done so far in life?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Camila, quem \u00e9 voc\u00ea? De onde voc\u00ea \u00e9 e o que voc\u00ea j\u00e1 fez at\u00e9 agora na vida?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I’m Camila, I’m from S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, which is one of the biggest cities of the world, and now I live in the countryside for 15 years, in Indaiatuba, that is home of at least six forklifts brands in Brazil.
\nI have studied publicity and communications at university and in 2018 I have done a course for marketing 4.0, and I\u2019ve been working basically, my whole life with publicity and communications and my last working experience.
\nI worked for eight years for a magazine, and they had exhibitions in Brazil for Agri business, and I was the manager for the exhibitions for eight years.<\/p>\n

Then I left the this company to work for a competitor of EP, which is a Chinese manufacturer for material handling and construction equipment, and I was there in charge of marketing in Brazil for two years, and now I’m here. I consider myself a new in handling material industry because the company I used to work before is not strong in handling materials in overseas, so they are also a Chinese manufacturer, but they don’t invest on overseas business for handling materials.<\/p>\n

So, I know many equipments for construction like cranes and aerial work platforms, but now I’m finding out and a lot of information and I’m doing a lot of research about forklifts because this is kind of a new market to me. Even tough I already know many media, associations, events and clients of the market.<\/p>\n

\nEstudei publicidade e propaganda na universidade e, em 2018, fiz um curso de marketing 4.0. Trabalhei praticamente toda a minha vida com publicidade e comunica\u00e7\u00f5es, e minha \u00faltima experi\u00eancia de trabalho foi a seguinte:
\nTrabalhei por oito anos em uma revista que realizava feiras de agroneg\u00f3cio no Brasil, e fui gerente de eventos por oito anos.<\/p>\n

Depois, deixei essa empresa para trabalhar em uma concorrente da EP, que \u00e9 uma fabricante chinesa de equipamentos de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais e constru\u00e7\u00e3o, e fiquei respons\u00e1vel pelo marketing no Brasil por dois anos. E agora estou aqui. Considero-me nova na ind\u00fastria de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais porque a empresa em que trabalhava antes n\u00e3o \u00e9 forte nesse segmento no exterior.<\/p>\n

Ent\u00e3o, conhe\u00e7o muitos equipamentos de constru\u00e7\u00e3o, como guindastes e plataformas de trabalho a\u00e9reo, mas agora estou descobrindo muitas informa\u00e7\u00f5es e fazendo muitas pesquisas sobre empilhadeiras, porque esse \u00e9 um mercado novo para mim. Mesmo assim, j\u00e1 conhe\u00e7o muitos meios de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, associa\u00e7\u00f5es, eventos e clientes desse mercado.<\/p>\n

2. What has been your main motivation to join EP?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Qual foi a sua principal motiva\u00e7\u00e3o para se juntar \u00e0 EP?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I was not thinking in changing my job, but then it’s a funny story. I had a friend in my previous company, and he sent me on WhatsApp the announce for a marketing specialist in Brazil and he said I should\u2019ve applied for it. I said ok, this is a very innovative company, they do a different kind of marketing, they have like innovation in their DNA.
\nIt’s not just marketing and they just don’t say \u201cwe are innovative\u201d, they are really innovative, and they are a global companie. So, this really hit me and today I’m here! So, I would say that innovation is what led me most. The innovation by EP is not only on the product, but also how the company deals with business and also, I think the values of EP match perfectly with my own life and professional values.<\/p>\n

Eu n\u00e3o estava pensando em trocar de emprego, mas ent\u00e3o aconteceu uma coisa engra\u00e7ada. Eu tenho um amigo na minha empresa anterior, e ele me mandou pelo WhatsApp o an\u00fancio de uma vaga para especialista em marketing no Brasil e disse que eu deveria me candidatar. Eu disse ok, esta \u00e9 uma empresa muito inovadora, eles fazem um tipo diferente de marketing, t\u00eam a inova\u00e7\u00e3o em seu DNA.
\nN\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas marketing e eles n\u00e3o apenas dizem “somos inovadores”, eles realmente s\u00e3o inovadores, e \u00e9 uma empresa global. Isso realmente me chamou aten\u00e7\u00e3o, e hoje estou aqui!
\nEnt\u00e3o, eu diria que a inova\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 o que me motivou mais. A inova\u00e7\u00e3o da EP n\u00e3o est\u00e1 apenas no produto, mas tamb\u00e9m na forma como a empresa lida com os neg\u00f3cios e, al\u00e9m disso, acho que os valores da EP combinam perfeitamente com os meus valores pessoais e profissionais.<\/p>\n

3. What\u2019s your experience in the material handling market? What have you learnt so far?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Qual \u00e9 a sua experi\u00eancia no mercado de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais? O que voc\u00ea aprendeu at\u00e9 agora?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Well, I’ve made a lot of research for material handling, and I think that we have, kind of situation in Europe where people know the importance and how Li-ion battery are and what the equipment can do with this kind of battery, how it is eco friendly battery, how we can have opportunity charge and everything. But I feel in Brazil the things are a little bit late, we are like 10 years late from Europe, so if you change the mindset in Europe for electrification, then you wait ten years, and this will happen in Brazil.
\nSo, I know that EP started with this technology around 11 years ago in 2012 and I think now it’s the right time to do it in Brazil. I think now people know the importance of changing the basically the traditional acid lead battery for the lithium technologies and I think we are ready for this now. I think now the market is aware of the importance of electrification. Now people talk about ecofriendly batteries. They know that they can reduce costs of maintenance with this kind of technology with zero emissions.<\/p>\n

Bem, fiz muitas pesquisas sobre movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais, e acredito que temos uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o na Europa em que as pessoas conhecem a import\u00e2ncia e as vantagens das baterias de \u00edon-l\u00edtio e o que os equipamentos podem fazer com esse tipo de bateria, como elas s\u00e3o ecologicamente corretas, como permite cargas de oportunidade etc.
\nMas sinto que no Brasil as coisas est\u00e3o um pouco atrasadas, estamos cerca de 10 anos atr\u00e1s da Europa. Ent\u00e3o, se mudarmos a mentalidade na Europa em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o, teremos que esperar 10 anos para que isso aconte\u00e7a no Brasil.
\nEu sei que a EP come\u00e7ou com essa tecnologia h\u00e1 cerca de 11 anos, em 2012, e acredito que agora seja o momento certo para implement\u00e1-la no Brasil. Acho que agora as pessoas reconhecem a import\u00e2ncia de substituir as tradicionais baterias de chumbo-\u00e1cido dos equipamentos por tecnologias de \u00edons de l\u00edtio, e acredito que estamos prontos para isso. Acho que agora o mercado est\u00e1 consciente da import\u00e2ncia da eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o.
\nAs pessoas j\u00e1 falam sobre baterias ecologicamente corretas. Elas sabem que podem economizar dinheiro e reduzir custos de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o com esse tipo de tecnologia, sem emiss\u00e3o de poluentes.<\/p>\n

4. What do you know about consumers in Brazil?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

O que voc\u00ea sabe sobre os consumidores no Brasil?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah, I know this change from diesel trucks to electric trucks is happening now. And I know that after COVID pandemic there was a lot of change all over the world and Brazil is a huge country, that people people change the purchase habits and start buying more things from the Internet.
\nMany companies came to Brazil, foreign companies and Brazilian companies were building warehouse to keep these goods. The surge in e-commerce in Brazil has significantly increased the demand for effective solutions in the realm of material handling within warehouses and distribution centers. Since last year the sales of forklifts have grown 20% from the year before and I think this year will be better than last year.<\/p>\n

Eu sei que essa transi\u00e7\u00e3o de empilhadeiras a diesel para equipamentos el\u00e9tricos est\u00e1 acontecendo agora. E sei que, ap\u00f3s a pandemia da COVID, houve muitas mudan\u00e7as em todo o mundo e o Brasil \u00e9 um pa\u00eds enorme, onde as pessoas mudaram o h\u00e1bito de compra e come\u00e7aram a comprar mais coisas pela Internet.
\nMuitas empresas estrangeiras e brasileiras come\u00e7aram a construir armaz\u00e9ns para armazenar esses bens. O aumento do com\u00e9rcio eletr\u00f4nico no Brasil aumentou significativamente a demanda por solu\u00e7\u00f5es eficazes na \u00e1rea de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais em armaz\u00e9ns e centros de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o. Desde o ano passado, as vendas de empilhadeiras cresceram 20% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano anterior, e acredito que este ano ser\u00e1 melhor que o ano passado.<\/p>\n

5. Which product do you find most interesting, and what do you want other people to know about this product?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Qual produto voc\u00ea acha mais interessante e o que voc\u00ea quer que as outras pessoas saibam sobre esse produto?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I like the XP-15 because it’s a robot. It’s like everything that we say EP is this robot is, so it’s innovated, we have our own software designed by EP to run this equipment. You can easily turn from a robot that is your best coworker, to a normal electric pallet truck. You can easily charge it and I think this is the future.<\/p>\n

Eu gosto do XP-15 porque ele \u00e9 um rob\u00f4. Ele incorpora tudo o que falamos sobre a EP, \u00e9 inovador e temos nosso pr\u00f3prio software projetado pela EP para operar esse equipamento. Voc\u00ea pode facilmente transform\u00e1-lo de um rob\u00f4, que \u00e9 seu melhor colega de trabalho, em uma empilhadeira el\u00e9trica comum. Voc\u00ea pode carreg\u00e1-lo facilmente e acredito que isso seja o futuro.<\/p>\n

6. What hobbies do you have, and how do you spend your weekends?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Quais hobbies voc\u00ea tem e como voc\u00ea passa seus fins de semana?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I have a 12-year-old daughter and I spend my weekends with her. We like to travel, we like going out outside to parks, we like movies, having dinner, so she’s my little partner. And I also like spending time with my friends.<\/p>\n

Tenho uma filha de 12 anos e passo meus fins de semana com ela. Gostamos de viajar, de ir a parques, de assistir filmes, de jantar juntas, ela \u00e9 minha parceirinha. Tamb\u00e9m gosto de passar tempo com meus amigos.<\/p>\n

7. What is your biggest wish for your first year at EP?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Qual \u00e9 o seu maior desejo para o seu primeiro ano na EP?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I want to connect with the market, and I think that one year is enough to make the EP brand recognized in Brazil. And I know EP is a very innovative company, so I know at EP I can try some different marketing strategies to connect with our target in customers in. I hope we can, get a bigger dealer community in Brazil in my wish is that we can make Brazil red full of EP’s machines.<\/p>\n
