On June 28-29, 2025, EP Equipment proudly hosted its 7th Annual 629 Innovation Conference at the manufacturing hub in Hubei, China, which integrates three plants: complete truck assembly, casting, and remanufacturing, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 forklifts.
This landmark event, welcoming over 1200 dealers and partners, served as a powerful testament to EP’s pursuit of innovation and its pivotal role in transforming the material handling landscape. Centered on the theme of “Let’s change together,” EP’s founder and CEO, John He’s remark expressed the company’s commitment to ushering in the next revolution – moving beyond going electric and green initiatives to embrace an automation future driven by digitalization.
Redefine the CLASS I AGAIN: New Generation of IC-to-E Forklifts and Lithium technology
EP’s IC-to-electric EFL series has revolutionized the material handling industry greatly since its launch. What is next? Our 4th-generation EFL series forklift – where big power meets smarter safety configurations! It boasts an all-new appearance and multiple protection functions and is powered by 80V modular Li-ion cores. The genius of our Modular Lithium battery core allows for replacing lead-acid batteries as easily as changing LEGO blocks. This innovation standardizes lithium batteries, and different capacities can be achieved by freely combining two standard specifications, significantly improving quality and reducing costs.
At the event, we also showcased the TCL201B, which features the industry’s first integrated counterweight-frame structure – the chassis and counterweight are cast as a single unit, eliminating weld seams and assembly hassles, thus redefining durability and stability. This definitely owes to EP’s strong in-house casting capabilities.
Long-termism Development: Exploration in High-capacity and New Categories
EP has developed solutions for the high-capacity segment over the past three years, now offering a full product line-up from 0.99-ton to 45-ton heavy-duty forklifts. The 629 event also introduced two innovative categories – the electric rough terrain forklift and the electric telehandler. Both are designed around the advantages of high-voltage lithium-ion batteries. These products address EP’s long-term goal to enter high-end and heavy-duty fields and grow together with dealers.
Customer First: Tailored Warehousing Solutions
As standardized products get so competitive, EP thinks far more and releases various industry-customized models to fulfill different customer needs.
The CQD16L3 and CQD18S2 reach trucks are perfect for high and narrow racks due to the land utilization requirements. To develop EP’s Class III-2 product portfolio, on-site exhibited a number of trucks like WAL201 and RSL series combining performance, safety and ergonomics to deal with transportation tasks in large warehouses. For special application environments like cold storage, EP introduced EPT20-20ETC and CPD20TV8 with cold-resistant configurations to maintain performance at down to -40℃.
Make Material Handling to Material Moving: EP’s X-Mover family and W@W Concept
EP’s X-Mover family highlighted the automation power in intralogistics to achieve intelligent handling and lead the transformation towards the era of Industrial Logistics 4.0. John shared his innovative concept Warehouse@Anywhere – Stack Anything, Store Anywhere. In addition to the automatic pallet mover EXP15, a variety of robots adapt to diverse real application scenarios on site, which turns the visionary strategy to intelligent movement.
A Celebration of Innovation and Collaboration
Dealers and partners experienced an immersive display across various zones, testing high-voltage forklifts, exploring X-movers and AI services, and discussing market demands with engineers. The whole venue buzzed with energy – the sound of tomorrow’s warehouses being built today. A captivating robot dance performance symbolized the fusion of automation technology and tradition, marking a truly spectacular man-machine collaboration show that added to the vibrant atmosphere of innovation and shared progress.
The 6.29 event reaffirmed EP’s mission to “Make material handling simpler and greener”. Beyond traditional warehousing equipment, EP is continuously exploring the high-end market segment and new growth points with our valuable dealers.
Together, let’s change the industry and build a smarter and greener future for material handling.
