Automate fixed handover
points

Do you have fixed handover points like wrappers, rollerbeds, sorters, or production machines?

Effortless Material Flow

In this step, goods are placed on a pallet and automatically wrapped. Once wrapped, the pallets are picked up and directly transported to the loading bay, ready for outbound shipping. This process allows a worker to stay at the wrapping machine, simply pick up the pallet, press start, and send it to the outbound shipping dock or bays. With the automated pallet trucks handling transportation, employees can focus on more important tasks, making the entire process faster and more efficient.

The Situation

At ID Logistics, manually transporting goods from their wrapper to outbound shipping is no longer a concern. Employees stay focused value-added tasks while the automated pallet truck collaborates with the wrapper and the employee at the workstation as a new co-worker.

Before

Previously, an operator manually picked up a wrapped pallet at the wrapper machine, then transported the pallet to the outbound loading bary area on ride on pallet trucks. After that, the operator would drive back to pick up another pallet and repeat the process.

After

The automated pallet truck starts at a designated point near the wrapper. It waits until the wrapper signals that a finished pallet is ready. An employee manually loads the pallet onto the truck and presses a button on the keypad. The pallet is loaded, the truck automatically transports it to the loading bay. After automatically unloading automatically, the truck returns to pick up the next wrapped pallet of goods from the machine.

Result

The multi-functional pallet truck  reduces the need for operators to drive back and forth, speeding up the pallet transportation process. This allows the employee to focus on tougher tasks rather than operating a ride-on-pallet truck all shift.

The global logistics company based in Gütersloh, Germany, has successfully implemented our solutions to improve the connection between their sorters and wrappers. The XP15 acts as a key link, making it easy to move pallets from the sorter to the wrapper automatically.

Before the XP15, warehouse workers had to wait for a full pallet to be picked up or manually carry it to the wrapper, which slowed things down.

Now, with the XP15, workers can quickly grab a pallet from the nearest unit and send it directly to the wrapper. This change makes the process faster and more efficient, allowing employees to focus on other tasks while keeping the sorting and wrapping operations connected and running smoothly.
